Password Protection Manager

Windows-compatible software to protect the data on the External Hard Drive with a password.

When going out with your External Hard Drive, its data security is also protected with password as well as in the home.

The data cannot be accessed by others even if you left the External Hard Drive somewhere by accident. You can unlock the External Hard Drive and read /write data with your own PC, and also with other PCs. You can divide the drive for locked and non-locked area.

Supports extremely safe AES 256-bit encryption

*Note : If the software applied, the External Hard Drive use will be limited with PC (cannot be used with other hardware like BRAVIA).

The Password Protection Manager cannot be used simultaneously with other encryption software for the External Hard Drive.

Backup Manager

Easy, secure backup for your peace of mind

Windows-compatible software to backup data from a PC’s internal hard drive to the External Hard Drive.

Data on an internal hard drive can be periodically (automatically) backed up to your External Hard Drive. By recognizing/backing up only modified/added data for minimizing necessary capacity, the time will be reduced. (Incremental backup method).

*Note : “Favorite“ of Microsoft Edge will not be backed up by this software.

Backup Manager 2

Ensure your data is always backup

1. When External Hard Drive is not connected,

Backup Manager 2 (BM2) will backup PC's data to cloud storage in real-time if cloud service is available. (Temporary Backup)

2. If the cloud storage is full, BM2 will notify you.

When the External Hard Drive is re-connected, BM2 moves the temporary backup data to the External Hard Drive.

*(Note: When External Hard Drive is connected to PC,

BM2 will directly backup PC data to External Hard Drive.)

* To enable "Hybrid Backup Function", you need to have an account with a (3rd-party) cloud storage service in advance. Examples:

- Dropbox ( Recommended. BM2 can directly backup to Dropbox )

- Other cloud storage service ( You need to install their synchronization software on same PC to have BM2 indirectly backup data to the cloud )

* Please note that 3rd-party cloud services may change or end without notice. Sony is not liable for any loss of data.

* If both cloud storage and External Hard Drive are disconnected, BM2 will wait for re-connection to backup.

FAT32 Formatter

The External Hard Drive formatter for using with PS3

Windows-compatible software to format the External Hard Drive to FAT32.

For reformatting a NTFS-format External Hard Drive to FAT32.

Change the file system to FAT32-format with this software, when using with PS3, etc.

*Note : If the device has its own format function, follow its instruction and use it.

*Note : Be aware that ALL THE EXSISTING DATA WILL BE ERASED if you format the External Hard Drive with this software.
